The Spanish thrash faction known as Holycide has returned with the announcement of an upcoming new EP entitled Bazookiller, set for release on September 12th on CD and digital formats via Xtreem Music out of Spain. In advance new, they’re sharing a new single, called “War Broadcast Live”, which you can check out just below.
Over the past year, Holycide’s lineup has changed, adding Santi Arroyo “GoG” on drums and new bassist Vicente J. Payá, who formed Holycide with Dave Rotten in 2004. The band is also adding a second guitarist in the coming months. Between the months of March and June, the current Holycide lineup recorded three brand new songs plus a cover of D.R.I.’s “Five Year Plan.” As a concept, Bazookiller’s three new original tracks are centered on the Russian invasion and genocide of Ukraine.
Currently, the band is in the process of writing more new material and looking to record sometime around late 2023 to early 2024. At the moment they’re looking for a spring release date.
