Perth-based143f6c33-e279-4b69-8a48-2c108bad12db cosmic psych-pop rock outfit Pond have just released a brand new song called “The Weather,” which is both the new LP’s title track and it’s closer. The new record set to drop on May 5th via Marathon Artists.

The third new cut released, “The Weather,” closes out what’s said to be the band’s most ambitious work to date. They’ve employed the services of Kevin Parker, whose influence has helped draw out a the band’s pop sensibilities, eliciting some nicely subversive attributes. Sonically, ‘The Weather’ is looking like it can certainly stand next to their 2015 sonic gem ‘Man, It Feels Like Space Again,’ with the two previously released new tracks—“30,000 Megatons” and “Sweep Me Off My Feet”—which you can catch at the bottom.

In terms of lyrical continuity Pond has typically gone with their own flow, taking the listener to litter dimensional reaches of the band’s own choosing, which they do beautifully. This go all-round is said to be focused somewhat more on the current geo-political situation, meditating on global issues and concerns of the masses. Pre-orders for ‘The Weather’ can be made now by clicking the album art image or going here.

Where Pond’s live plans are concerned, following sets at this years Coachella and a road trip throughout the US, the band heads back to Europe in May for a load dates, complete with a massive show at the O2 Forum Kentish Town. You’ll find a list of live appearances below. Tickets are available now from
